Who is Dr. Maria Gindidis – Principal and Founder of Protypo Greek Centre?

Research is strong in stating that effective schools have instructional leaders. Dr. Maria Gindidis is the founder and Principal of Protypo Greek Centre. Her passion is education and she holds a position as Coordinator and Teacher Education Lecturer in Languages for Monash University. Dr. Gindidis lectures at Monash University in both the Bachelor and Masters Teacher Education courses.

Dr. Gindidis has managed various projects for the Department of Education. She held the Middle Years portfolio in Gippsland and was an Innovations and Excellence Educator across 5 schools, as well as a State Coordinator of the Bilingual Schools Project involving 15 schools across Victoria. She is an international education speaker on topics involving languages and engaging second languages learners. Her international lectures have included Japan, Singapore, Canada, Dubai, Greece and Harvard University, Boston.

Dr. Gindidis is an accredited School Reviewer for the Department of Education and a Monash Team Facilitator in the Unlocking Potential (UP) program for developing future Primary and Secondary School Principals. Her other current research interests are in Neuroscience and learning languages, Whole Brain Teaching and Digital Technologies in the second language classroom.
